Welcome to Blitzball recreation, part of my 20 Years of Final Fantasy Celebration!

Twenty years ago, a game company on it's last legs released a game that they feared would be their last, aptly named "Final Fantasy". On 18th December 1987, Final Fantasy was released in Japan for the Nintendo Entertainment System. The game enchanted players all over the world and proceeded to be the launching pad for one of the longest lasting series on the video game industry and one of the top 5 video game series sold.

At FFP, our Final Fantasy forum we also want to commemorate this incredible series and the effect it had on many people's lives. To that effect, we will have a couple of special things starting with this mock up of Besaid and Kilika islands from the game Final Fantasy X one of the top 3 games of the series.

Please join us celebrating the games and stories that have brought many fun hours to us all. All that is here has been done lovingly by FF fans on our forum such as Blue Dreadlow, Renmiri Writer, Braska Yalin and Tabris Kohime. SL Pirate artifact builder extraordinaire uv22e Alcott is also helping us by doing many FF items which she will have for sale here and at her shop. The island sims are hosted by FairChang.com which has been very helpful to the project also.

Exploring here is 100% free. You are welcome to lounge in the beach and walk around, explore and interact with other players here, as long as you follow commom sense and SL rules. Also look at the land charter if in doubt.

Final Fantasy avatars are available on Twilight Town, Midgar and where Anime avatars are sold. Look for FuSoYa Yasenko too, he sells a great one.

so is there going to be a blitzball based game?

That is the idea, but playing a truly 3D blitzball, as Second Life allows you to is pretty damn hard. So we are working on scripting somethings to make gameplay easier

Yeah, hopefully soo. Right now is to damn hard to score so tournaments are kind of hard. I'm working on it though :)
