Sega ogłosiła, iż trwają prace nad tworzonym zupełnie od podstaw, dwuwymiarowym action-adventure. Projekt zowie się Project Needlemouse i ma być swoistym powrotem do przeszłości, wzbogaconym o technologie teraźniejszości. Nazwę projektu prawdopodobnie zaczerpnięto z pewnego hack'a, podmieniającego postać Sonic'a w grze Sonic the Hedgehog na nijakiego Mr. Needlemouse. Tak więc w 2010 roku czeka nas triumfalny powrót niebieskiego jeża, w dobrym oldschool'owym stylu. Wreszcie!

O ile się nie mylę, to nazwa "Needlemouse' wcale nie jest zapoczątkowana przez hack'a osoby.

Na skanie (lub screenshot'cie) poniżej jest ukazany winowajca - napis na samej górze, który można przetłumaczyć z japońskiego albo na "Needlemouse" ("Kolczasta mysz"), albo na "Hedgehog" ("Jeż"). Poza tym można również zobaczyć główną postać z tego hack'a w lewym dolnym rogu obrazka.

I beleive that this will be a remake of the first Sonic Game. ave you noticed the picture at 0:19 is a sillhouette of the logo for Sonic in his first game. Also, project needlemouse, when Sonic first came out, his nickname was Mr. Needlemouse. So I think its a remake, like New Super Mario bros. for example.

its not, SEGA is going back to 2d and remaking SADX and SA2 Battles aswell because they had more fans with the 2d games instead of the 3d fans

sega announced that they were gonna remake SOnic Adventure Dx and Sonic Adventure 2 Battle. Maby we'll see if they'll add anything or change anything. Besides i think SEGA was at their best with Sonic when he was 2D. but when he went 3D it kinda went down the drain with SEGA Sonic Team

The 2.5D gameplay in the daytime levels of sonic unleashed is awesome, it is perfect. Don't give us pure 2D gameplay. We only wanted to get rid of the werehog.
