Joey Pearson - How Great Thou Art

After attending the celebration of my grampa Carmine's life today, I came home and decided to immediately post a video of one of his favorite hymn, "How Great Thou Art." He was a man who accepted me as a part of his family nine years ago, when I began living with his son and daughter-in-law who I call my Uncle Jim and Aunt Debbie. In reality, family are not only the people to whom one is blood related, but are the people who support and love one; Carmine exemplified this beautifully.

@CrimesonWitcher What is family? Really? Just people who share similar origins! For some of us, our family has always been there for us and for that we are eternally grateful. For others, family has only been a label for a bunch of people who share the same genes but who have nothing in common, have not been there to support, and have even caused problems. Thus, while the definition of family is clear, the connotation leaves room for expansion. Family for me are those who love me as I love them.

@Joeypearsonmusic ya know it kinda bothers me that your grand pa died three days before my Birthday. So many things happen in the world at this very second and we never know what it could be until someone tell us. You are right that sometimes blood isn't enough but as someone who grew up with values on being loyal to the family no matter what I'd have to respectfully disagree with you on that. My brother may be a jerk but i could never love anyone else more then him when it comes to bonds.
