  • great work. Your cartilage or knees as such never bothered you at all?

  • nope - its a myth that deep squats cause knee problems

squatting half way with too much weight is what does the damage

  • Nice form, although I noticed your knees buckle in a bit, which I'm assuming you noticed to?

  • yes cyclo - didnt have feet right when i came out and was busted as this was my last set and had been up on the heavier weights before hand - should have readjusted but the mate had camera rolling

  • check my blog for free fitness info !

google 'neil mcteggart' and check the blog

  • Hi mate, just a comment on your form, on the descent make sure to shove your knees right out so at the bottom position you should find they are over your feet and just pointing over the end of your toes. You may develop a cartilage injury like I did because of the inbalance of stress on your knee. Keep up the good squatting!

  • @hazmunro u actually want to have your weight completely on you heels so you can see your toes if u were to look down, i tore my acl and in physical therapy they showed me how to do it...the trick is bringing you butt back first and staying slow...thatll take the most un-needed stress on your knees

  • There is no such thing as a deep squat. Either you squat, or you don't :)

    Keep it up!

  • pretty poor form, you'll wreck you knees like that. You have to keep your legs spread out and prevent them from buckling in.

  • Great squats, personally I have a wider stance on my squats and go just as low to get more of a sweeping quad.

  • @arsefluff SO TRUE! theres nothing i h8 more than ppl claiming to do a certain weight in squats and then you watch em n they go like 75 degrees deep... a full squat is 135 degrees, you can do 90 degree squats but then you have to say its a 90 degree squat and not a real... anything less than that; ISNT A SQUAT!

and you also need to think aboute how wide the person is standing, for example if youre stadning wider you can use more weight, BUT GREAT JOB MAN

  • I am thoroughly impressed

  • Ok i got a question. I do my squats as deep as you did in your video, although i am lifting a lot lighter as i have a history of bad knees. They do not bother me at all when doing squats my form is great. I feel that it is only the inside of my thighs that seem to be worked when doing squat, when it is the outside of my thigh that i want shaping up and to be more toned. Any idea why i can only feel the burn in the muscles within the inside of my thighs.

  • ass2grass baby! finally! so sick of bullshit youtube videos of people 1/4 squatting

keep working on flaring the knees out and keep the buckling to a minimum!

  • @Cyclomega ya he definitely did...that definitely would jack my knees if i did that.

  • 投げるくらいの勢いで行きたいねぇ。
