n July 30th, 2011 at the Oklahoma Freethought Convention, I had an opportunity to sit down and speak with AronRa. These are select clips from that interview.
This is one of the most relevant reasons to oppose a theistic religious mindset. Back in the day, stuff we now fully understand was attributed to gods.
Gods are merely placeholders until we come up with a proper explanation. Even if we don't, that doesn't mean religious people should get away with sliding their imaginary friends in the gap and pretend they're right. It's also one of the main reasons why i think theistic religions and science are fundamentally incompatible.
A very beautiful exposition of a scientific mindset. And the religious say science is dry and can't move you. Exploring reality is the most moving thing we can ever experience!!
@TheThinkingAtheist People sure like to bitch about silly things, eh? lol I quite enjoyed these videos, and can understand why you broke them up the way you did.
I think I figured out what feels "wrong" about these three short videos. My first thought was that it seemed really strange that they were so short and cut up into 3 parts like others have noted. The problem is that Aron starts talking about something, but you never revealed what the question was. BigThink makes similar videos, but they display the posed question/topic in text before the speaker responds. You may want to consider doing that with these, they seem a bit random/scattered.
@TheThinkingAtheist I don't think they work as short pieces. It would be better to make it as one long one unless you don't have any more material to work with.
Splitting the videos has a real disadvantage. Over 11,000 people saw the 1st one, but only 8,000 saw the 2nd and 3rd. I'm not an expert on YouTube demographics, but I wonder if you would've had more views with a single video showing the full interview.
Regardless, all three videos are still very well edited and pleasure to see. Thank you.
Are you going to post the whole conversation? Or is this all we're getting? Also, thanks soooooo so much for agreeing to speak at my university! You're awesome.

Love these three clips. Short sweet doses of rational common sense. Aron Ra for President.

@TheThinkingAtheist Much better this way as you can link to a theme when you want to reference it, instead of a long video. :)

@TheThinkingAtheist They work fine, they're great. Don't worry about the naysayers, they're just too damn picky.
