Two adverts shown on UK television in 1991, when the recession was biting hard and proving once and for all that we should all vote Conservative again in the next election.
These are interesting (to me at least) because they're the only adverts I've ever seen which aren't aimed at the viewers, they're aimed at the companies themselves.
This is the first of two: cheaper and far less forbidding than the second.
Was there a counter-campaign to this ad?

I'm probably not the only one who can spot the irony in advertisers advertising for more advertising.
