I love when intelligent, civil and just-minded Americans decide their neighbors deserve all the civil rights and responsibilities they themselves do. As a school teacher, I don't ever recall reading/citing the words..."with liberty and justice for ALL" and seeing the word, "except". Separate but equal does not, has not and should not work. We can not "eenie meenie miney moe" through our neighborhoods and point to who is allowed marriage or not. We need more brave and Christ-like politicians!
I love this woman and her logical, articulate, thoughtful argument. You can have personal reservations about GLBT equality while still recognizing the state cannot enshrine personal, faith based reservations into their laws. You may think gays are abominations, but you can't expect laws to be made treating them any different than other citizens.
@LPadlock You want articulate, listen to Obama, or any other Democrat for that matter. I strongly suspect that stems from something called er... What's it... Oh yea, education!!! Something most Repug seem to lack.
It is past time. It is only fair.

"It's time in Washington state; I hope it's time in America to step up to equality today."
Brava. Simple and eloquent. This Canadian neighbour welcomes your enthusiasm. And she's so right..........it IS time.
