A Live performance of George Harrison's "Beware of Darkness" from a 1971 benefit performance for UNICEF called "Concert for Bangladesh". It was the first fund raising concert of this kind. The other singer is Leon Russell. The concert also included Eric, Ringo, Billy Preston, Klaus Voorman, Jesse Ed Davis and others. Beware of Darkness can be found on Georges debut and perhaps most successful album "All Things Must Pass"

  • easily the best album and probably the best track.

  • I absolutely love George Harrison and this song but when Leon chimes in, I get shivers. Amazing talent..... dreamy too.

  • I cried watching this!!! He was just such a beautiful man and he understood life so well!!!

  • Don't forget Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Bob Dylan and PAUL

  • As a songwriter and a Beatle, In my opinion, he never got the credit he deserved !

  • Can't forget Leon Russel !

  • George Harrison was so soulful; in the truest sense of the word. His spirituality was earthy and real as well as other worldly...really gifted. RIP

  • Sivarama Maharaja (. com) has a wonderful podcast on this song.... Beware of Maya (darkness, the bright shining illusionary energy of the material world) I needed this too ... thanks George!! ~"It's not what we are here for" Hare Krishna.

  • George was a writer. He wrote some very good songs with the Beatles which were under appreciated. All Things Must Pass was an awesome album, it did show a bit of his depression over the Beatles break-up. Also it showed that he was thinking about his mortality, He went into a somewhat happy phase after that with the Traveling Wilburys and songs like "I've got my mind set on you" But he re-visited the spiritual with his "Brainwashed" album, which would be his last. He died a good soul!

  • Gets better everytime I hear it !

  • HAPPY HOLIDAY & 2012!

  • i started to like George Harrison's songs after Spock's Beard's cover of Beware of Darkness (a very good version!). to, this is George's best song.
