My Bialetti became very dark inside the water reservoir after a few uses. Is that normal? Yours is so shiny, it was brand new, right?

Yeah ours was pretty new in the video. It's gotten some discolouration on the inside of the water reservoir now, but I wouldn't call it significant.

It's pretty easy to clean. Thing is, only rinse out the filter, top pot and rubber seal. Don't use soap or scrub: you want to keep that thin film of coffee that builds up over the years as a barrier between fresh coffee and the metal.

It is the common Bialetti stove top espresso maker, available at most kitchen supply stores I've been to (in Canada), about $20-$40. Every household in Italy has one, too.
