  • My Bialetti became very dark inside the water reservoir after a few uses. Is that normal? Yours is so shiny, it was brand new, right?

  • Yeah ours was pretty new in the video. It's gotten some discolouration on the inside of the water reservoir now, but I wouldn't call it significant.

  • It's pretty easy to clean. Thing is, only rinse out the filter, top pot and rubber seal. Don't use soap or scrub: you want to keep that thin film of coffee that builds up over the years as a barrier between fresh coffee and the metal.

  • It is the common Bialetti stove top espresso maker, available at most kitchen supply stores I've been to (in Canada), about $20-$40. Every household in Italy has one, too.

  • Is it easy to clean (especially the bottom)?

  • Brilliant! Where did you find this fine piece of machinery?
