Their bandship was pretty good!
What do you call this beat like this in English?
In Japanese "NANA(7)-Byoushi".

  • Mercury Faling is underrated. A great album.

  • A very good album. I love the "Hounds Of Winter" from that record.

  • the songs in14/8 however vinnie (drummer) is playing a straight 4/4 groove, sometimes like motown (snare on every beat). This straight groove means then song moves from beat 1 being on the bass drum for 4 beats and then beat 1 is on the snare for 4 beats and it keeps alternating.

  • had no idea he performed this. do you have any performance of "All Four Seasons", "La Belle Dame Sans Regrets" & "Valparioso"?

  • Ive been listening to mercury falling alot lately. What a great album it is.

  • what can I say... that's absolutely rock'n!

  • One of the few Sting songs I don't know, I like this one!

  • it's the whole song 7/4...

    1-2-3-4-5-1-2

  • In response to the name of the rhythm - the only name I can think of is 7/4. And then, of course, in the chorus it goes to 4/4.

  • Album was called "Mercury Falling"... Hounds of Winter is the first song on it:)

  • I've never seen this particular lineup with Sting. It's similar to the Soul Cages and Ten Summoner's Tales lineup except it has Kenny Kirkland on keyboards instead of David Sancious. Also two horns and two backup vocalists. I dig this song, but this version isn't as good as the studio version in my opinion.

  • track 8 of Mercury Falling, 1996.

but i might be wrong...coz i'm trying to recall
