I wrote this during my dinner break while working at Eckerd Drugs on December 23, 1985. I had just bought a Tascam Porta-One 4 track ministudio and this was the first song I recorded on it, using the drum machine on my Casio keyboard for percussion. This version was recorded the following summer on the 4 track with a real drummer, Michael Yarborough, who played drums in my first band Midnight Sun. I did everything else. The lead is note-for-note identical to the spontaneous improvised lead I did on that first version.
Thanks Cozmo. Always nice to get feedback from a fellow songwriter. Glad you like it. As for the mixer, you'll get the hang of it over time. The desire is obviously there and that's the most important thing.

Hey man, this is really awesome! It's a great song. I am an amatuer songwriter and I inherited this mixer from my dad. Even though it has some things I struggle with, I really love it.
