I wrote this during my dinner break while working at Eckerd Drugs on December 23, 1985. I had just bought a Tascam Porta-One 4 track ministudio and this was the first song I recorded on it, using the drum machine on my Casio keyboard for percussion. This version was recorded the following summer on the 4 track with a real drummer, Michael Yarborough, who played drums in my first band Midnight Sun. I did everything else. The lead is note-for-note identical to the spontaneous improvised lead I did on that first version.

  • Thanks Cozmo. Always nice to get feedback from a fellow songwriter. Glad you like it. As for the mixer, you'll get the hang of it over time. The desire is obviously there and that's the most important thing.

  • Hey man, this is really awesome! It's a great song. I am an amatuer songwriter and I inherited this mixer from my dad. Even though it has some things I struggle with, I really love it.
