Then she is not a "pro"

If people like that are making so called, "pros" look bad, then the "pros" must not be that good. Exceptional photographers don't concern themselves with the work of others.

Nice video and thanks for sharing this with everyone......

@skatecubed That person that you advised was no professional! She is a weekend wanna be, digimom, whose husband probably makes a crap load of money and she is just looking for something to do. Having all the "fancy equipment" makes a person no more a professional photographer than standing in their garage makes them a car...

@skatecubed LOL!! "I have a pro cam, and a few people have liked my pictures". No doubt.... My friend Mike and I talk about this ALL the time. These morons are simply killing the business, and it's sad. I was just shooting a wedding last weekend when I came across an old lady with a shitty little point and shoot standing next to me repositioning my people. I had to say, "hi, are you a hired photographer?" Her response? "no, but Im the brides grandmother and I used to shoot weddings" LOL!!

@johnny0110 I know that, you know that, unfortunately, She seemed to not know that, it is idiots like her that make REAL pro's look pathetic. She was one of those, "I have a pro cam, and few people have liked my pictures, that makes me a pro in this digital age" types of fools that has been spawned by the easy access to good equipment coupled with the ability to shoot non stop, no limitations of film, and see the results instantly, so you can take another less crappy shot right away types.

@skatecubed Then there is no way they were a "pro". lol....

Low res watermarked (tasteful logo in the bottom corner) are given out as long as prints are bought. otherwise there's no possibility for sale after the event
:)

I agree.
I give clients CDs though. :P
(but my clients are mostly businesses, not portraits etc. so they need the images/videos for web use and print media)

LOL This is awesome! Thank you!
Hit the nail on the head! These people are destroying the industry.

I am a decent amateur photog, I have sold a few shots, but in no way does it make me a pro, I do not have the business knowledge, nor do I have the more formal training or education to back up a claim of being pro. The really sad thing is, I on one occasion found myself "advising" a "pro" that did not know much, she had a damned fancy cam, but had no clue how aperture affected DOF, She did not know about fill flash for a backlit shot, she did not understand how focal length affected FOV or DOF.
