www.preservehollywood.org - Forrest J. Ackerman, founder of "Monster Fandom" & creator of "Famous Monsters Of Filmland", discusses his Bela Lugosi Dracula Ring, & his association with "The Witch's Dungeon Classic Movie Museum" - He was an inspiration to the creation of the museum. Farewell to our dear friend, "Uncle Forry" (1916 - 2008), he will be missed by "Monster Kids" everywhere! A portion of his interview will be part of our new documentary series, "LEGENDS OF FILM & FANTASY", currently available - "The Witch's Dungeon 40 Years Of Chills" & "The Aurora Monsters" DVD's - directly through - witchsdungeon@sbcglobal.net - all proceeds benefit the non-profit museum.

  • I would love to tour your museum to see these wonderful figures up close. I would like to ask, if you have made a statue of our beloved Uncle Forry.

  • @MrPyre - We will, once we get the expansion of the museum a reality. If you wish to visit the museum,

this fall, see the Dates page of our website (listed at the end of the clip)

I Stumble'd Upon this video by accident whilst looking for some footage of Lugosi in Abott and Costello Meet Frankenstein ,May I ask if you were aware that Lugosi's other cape (the big flowing one) is going on sale at the end of the week ,It is part of the Debbie Reynolds collection ,were you planning on adding it to your collection?

  • @liamblackere That cape is the original from "Dracula" it is included in the same auction, but not part of Debbie's collection, it is owned by Bela G. Lugosi, Bela's son. The satin lining is gray, not red - as in black & white film, it would appear black. Sadly the price tag is far beyond the reach of "The Witch's Dungeon". I just feel honored Forry gave me an identical white gold Dracula ring, as he gave Christopher Lee, which he wore as Hammer Films Dracula, in honor of Bela .

  • Beautiful and Touching !!!

  • haha lucky 13 th for thumbs up.

  • He was such a sweet man. I met him in the 80's when he came to a SCi Fi convention in Australia.

He always had time for anyone.

  • You will be missed Forrest.

  • "Famous Monsters" meant the world to me growing up. I'm glad you guys were able to capture Forry on film before he passed away. He will definitely be missed.

  • R.I.P.
