Awesome fight. Thornton is such a beast. If he can fight this well against Colton Orr, that proves he's a top 5 fighter in the league.

Orr's a beast

Let me just say this. Thornton takes a huge right in the middle and still turn it around not backing off an inch. Impressive. Thornton = super though
no bull

not bad, not bad

what the hell is this. Was thornton trying to have sex with him? I got confused because of all the hugging.

@bobbycarolina75 Middleweights are over 6 feet in 2011. Bieksa is one of the best, & he's 6'1 like Thornton. It's middleweight, not middleheight. They don't seperate fighters according to height but by weight.
Like I said, watch his fights with Cote, Barch, Boll, Jackman, Low, Neil, Boulton & you'll see that he is willing to trade. His fight with Cote a couple of years back was a fight of the year candidate.
He isn't really a KO fighter. He let's up when he hurts people. (watch the Barch fight)

@SlipSlydinLydin North Carolina. Was from Detroit. There's plenty of northerners, including Canadians in Texas, the south etc. playing hockey as well. Some fighting in the adult leagues, especially in Texas.
Supposedly he's over 6 feet so he's going to be fighting heavy weights. I guess I don't feel real strongly about this, but he's one of the least entertaining fighters out there. Prove me wrong, but I've never seen him cleanly KO or trade blows with anyone, he just wrastles them down.

@bobbycarolina75 Oh you play hockey huh? Where? In South Carolina? lol You're American, so unless you're from Boston like Jay Miller & Chris Nilan, then you play a completely different game that doeasn't even have fighting in it!
Thornton ties people up when he's fighting a guy like Boogaard who is 6'8 and has 50 pounds on him. There aren't many other guys in the league that weigh 217lbs that fight like he does. Defensive skills are a big part of fighting when there's no weigh in!
-
@SlipSlydinLydin Yeah, play it too. I guess you and others are saying he's "entertaining" for his ability to tie up opponents and hang on for dear life without getting his ass kicked too bad.
-
@bobbycarolina75 Do you even watch hockey? LOL Watch his fights with Cote, Laraque, Henry, Gratton, Erskine, Ivanans, Low, Barch, Neil, Boulton, Jackman, or Rosehill. He's undersized, but puts on very entertaiing fights!
thornton is a beast

If Bobby Orrr played today, he would work his ass off like every-other pro...and he would easily be the best defenseman in the world...no one would even be close.
