The nicest Bird on the tube! We have a 79 T-top that we are restoring. I want another.

Very very nice t-bird, thanks for the comment on mine. You should post a video of it running and driving!

@patsaxon Wow! I never expected a comment so soon, (45min) let alone such flattering comments. Thank You and your welcome sir. I have owned this car since 1990, and have enjoyed every year and every mile of ownership. There are still lots of them available, and parts are not real hard to find. Pursue your dream, you will find and own one. And you will enjoy the experience of owning and driving history.

Back in the day when you had to ask the operator of the vehicle to turn the heat up because the controls were on the driver's side, not in the "public" space nowadays. NICE RIDE!!!!!!!!!

Did they auctually use these for police duty? :)

@edw125238 No, not that I know of, this car was one of some mistakes at the factory. Some Mercury Cougars, and Thunderbirds were equipped with the police pkg of the time meant for the LTD II police cruiser. I have been in contact with two other owners of these cars and found that a few goofs happened along the line at Ford. One has a Mercury Cougar Villager wagon, the other has a Ford LTD II coupe.
