A young woman encounters strange experiences after purchasing a mysterious antique record player.
This film was completed as part of the 48 Hour Film Project in Dallas, TX, on July 13-15, 2007. In this competition, teams of filmmakers randomly draw a genre from a hat and must write, shoot, and edit their film within 48 hours. Each team must also incorporate the same 3 elements somewhere in their movie (a prop, a character, and a line of dialogue).
The genre that our team drew was "Ghost Movie." The elements that every team had to incorporate into their film are as follows:
Prop: nail polish
Character: a carpet cleaner named Bill or Betty Black
Line of Dialogue: "I owe you an apology."
This was our first attempt in this competition. Our film won awards for Best Sound and Best Use of Dialog for 2007.
