May the name of Tolkien live forever.
Tolkien licensed motion picture rights to United Artists back in 1969 for a low six-figure sum and 7.5% of the "gross receipts". New Line Producers never paid the Tolkien Estate anything from their profits, and are currently being sued. SCOD proudly offers to share all profits made from this remix series with the Tolkien family, which although the dollar amount is exactly "ZERO", a warm cup of tea can be made for them at a financial loss to SCOD (gladly).

I just love the musical mixes you use to accompany the magical words of Tolkein. While I hope that New Line coughs up a share of the profits I also wonder how many, many more fans of the books and all things Tolkein were created by the creation of such wonderful movies. I consider myself a diehard fan having first read The Hobbit in 1965 at age 9. I reread them all every couple of years now and the escape to Middle Earth is always like coming home.

beyond 5 stars. i looked into the American Tolkien Society, it's something i might see about joining. and, it's about time for me to re-read the entire saga again...i believe i shall start tonight. the movies were better than i expected (i didn't expect much) but still does not do justice Tolkien's words. peace and vanya sulie.

Some of my artwork ive put in these vids was published by the editor of the ATS monthly mags; your interest in Tolkien is impressive! Tolkien's work is so strong, it makes for very loyal fans. Jackson-New Line should have made sure the Tolkien Estate was paid their dues, i cant believe they didnt. -Drogo

i've loved Tolkien for years- i read the Hobbit when i was about 13 years old, and tried reading the rest- but i got lost in Gondor that time around and put the story aside. i went back a few years later, probably in high school and re-read everything- and was hooked forever. i read LOTR every couple of years now. yes, i am a Tolkien nerd, lol- i was against the movies, and knowing that Tolkien's estate has not been given their proper rights makes it worse. i love these homage vids! peace
