How to not die, as a spy.

The title's not very good. It should really read "a noob's guide to being a half-decent spy".

This video contains a variety of Spy tips and clips. It wasn't the vid I originally intended to do, but technical faults and several nearing deadlines meant I couldn't do the first one =/

The spy is probably the toughest class to use in TF2. When you play as the spy, you can expect to die a lot - the aim of this video is to show you how to prioritise your targets and how to avoid being seen.

The only special equipment I use is the Cloak & Dagger - the one that lets you remain invisible forever if you stand still. It's really useful for prolonging the spy's short lifespan (as you can see from the video!).

Anyway, I hope this helps someone understand the spy's workings a little better :)

4:22 by that time you should turn invisible hide behind a corner, wait for enemies to come out and come back to the place they came from. that is a great trick called illusion :) good video by the way

In a word spy got 3 situations : -Undercover thus meaning the spy is clear for stabbing

-Half danger where a few classes are spychecking but not yet seen you

-Spotted where you must run or die if you force attack

Disguise kit plays a role in there (where no tutorials talks of) : the class and weapon of disguise increase or decrease the time you will be undercovered (for example a sniper can't just be near his teamates armed with a kukri on the front and etc)
