If this is first time installing android on Touchpad please view Idiots Guide 2.0 FIRST (Link at bottom) (just replace the files he uses with the new ones we are using here.)

Installation:

1.Place ACMEInstaller2 in C: , Program Files , Palm, inc.

2.On the Device Create a "cminstall" folder in the root of the Touchpad (HAS TO BE exactly the same cminstall and HAS to be on the root!)

3.Move Files to cminstall

4.Boot into WebOS Recovery mode [unplug usb if connected, as its powering off and you see a spinning circle hold the volume up button until you see USB symbol

5.Open Command Prompt, CMD Commands:
cd\ (enter)

  • mine does not do the list after i enter novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller2

  • @faaezh are you talking about when you plug it in nothing happens on pc? thats because the build still has bugs and issues i'm using cm9 alpha 2. which still has a few bugs. if you want to put stuff on the device first take a step back look at the touchpad and think about how the touchpad has two different operating systems one is stable and official and the other has bugs. mmmm....what to do? sorry for being cocky its just i hate newbie questions with a simple solution.

  • hey thanks... it really worked , well having a problem ...whn i connect to the pc i'm getting it as a portable device can u plz tell me how to get it as a portable device ... thanks in advance...

  • I got cm9 alpha 2 works amazing. I love it. For the people having wifi issues download fxr wifi fix and rescue. You will have to side load the app to get it on the device.

  • i have a problem.! my wifi doesnt work? do you know why?

  • @beepboop20171 same thing happened to me? did you fix it?

  • you are a f'n genius. thank you!

  • Wow, thanks for that video. Your instructions helped me to upgrade flawlessly from CM7 to CM9. Cheers!

  • ***Please Help***I get all the way through the process and everything is fine. Until I get to the last command to actually install on my touchpad and once i type in "novacom boot mem:// (less then symbol) ACMEInstaller2 (enter)" nothing happens. I already have 7 on mine but the market is not working on it. Is this the reason ICS won't install problem?
