Southern Pacific Daylight 4449 westbound through Kalamazoo, MI July 31st, 2009

The Southern Pacific Daylight 4449 Steam Locomotive runs westbound through Kalamazoo, MI on July 31st, 2009. It was not smoking and not stopping at the station this time. They had to get to Chicago on time. I arrived at the tracks about 2:54 P.M. and the SP 4449 passed by at about 2:57 P.M.

Those Hiawatha passenger cars are a great visual design.

I also shook filming this amazing loco, I thought it would be fine without a tripod until I saw it coming, we are all human, at least we caught the sound of that beauty! Nice choice of location at the diamond, good job! What a beautiful day to film something like this!

Thanks for the compliment. I was moving the camera because I was trying to line up the camera and watch 4449 move towards the station at the same time. I need a monopod or tripod for the next big event where there is a lot of action.
