Classic Howard Stern: N Word outrage 1/3

Howard goes on an absolute tear when he hears his E show is bleeping out racial slurs and vows it will never happen again! He and the rest of the show proceed to read off as many slurs as they can before they are joined by Marge Schott so that more slurs can be yelled out loud.

I am fully aware that Howard in these clips is making a point of reducing the impact of demonizing and offensive words but contrast this to 2010 and you'd swear some milquetoast was sitting in his chair who just stepped out of a church rally and who had never left their home town. Arguing the point of killing a word's impact is one thing but repeating them with Billy West's help to still try and get shock laughs is another and again, 15 years later hearing the Mel Gibson tapes you can't help but think "big FAT hypocrate." Howard, you can retire anytime now in between your 2 weeks worth of vacations every month, and we'll enjoy you in the good ol' days when the pitbull had teeth before Beth and before you started giving Eric The Midget presents every day for no good reason.

To the person who posted this video: You should note the difference between Howard saying nigger for the sake of COMEDY, and (racist/antisemetic) Mel Gibson saying nigger only to OFFEND and BELITTLE people. Therefore it is perfectly reasonable for Howard to use the word here and still be justifiably angry with Mel later.

I don't think I was out of line with my thoughts on this clip ESPECIALLY comparing it to now when Howard is going off the deep end with Mel Gibson after Mel's tyraid.

Sserpent21, I love you and your posts but I respectfully disagree with you on everything here but your take on ETM. Gibson's language and actions come from a place of HATE and he absolutely meant them EVERY time...no comedy or satire there. Sure, Howard has mellowed and evolved over the years, and we will always have the good old "pit bull" days no matter what, but I still think that one hour of one episode of Howard's current show blows a weeks worth of mainstream crap right out of the water.
