with "go to" systems you really dont have to know any star names to get started, after setting the mount up correctly pointed to north leveled just start align process and slew to one of the first stars in the 2 star alignment process and it will be the brightest star in the general direction of your finder scope. thats how i was able to align without knowing the stars before hand.
