  • @autopsy87 Right on. Nicely put. "Doing things out of hope for reward or fear of punishment is obedience, not morality." Beautiful.

  • @Oceanus57 Oh come on, he doesn't seem like a wierdo; just a misguided child.

  • WMM editing, my god...

  • @lonesoldier33 Now I'm never going to be able to see him take his glasses off without lasers coming out of his eyes.

  • @prskaloo1 Yes, i would say the golden rule is universal but case in point it was developed in various societies without the aid of a god, christian or otherwise. Adultery was a crime punishable by death during the time of moses, as guided by god. But then later wasn't during the time of jesus.....as guided by god. Christianity, its anything but consistent.

  • @luar48 dude? more like an unevolved beign x), funny thing is that he would agree!

  • @autopsy87 true a person that does good out of the belief they will be rewarded never truly did good.

  • a morality based on authority isnt morality. Doing things out of hope for reward or fear of punishment is obedience, not morality. I dont see how people can even argue this anymore. Even the religious majority would say its immoral to stone people for anything, let alone for tying a knot on sunday. Its all because these religions brainwash the followers into believing that they are worthless, dumb, unworthy fools who cant even grasp the idea of morality without god telling them what it is.

  • I want a morality that evolves. Religion does not evolve, ever.
