huh of course philipines has many active volcanoes huh! my favorrite volcanoes are mayon volcano and taal volcano the famous volcanoes huh!

@Xiane1991 I haven't seen those, yet. I haven't traveled much beyond Cebu and Bohol. Looking forward to seeing more, though. So far, my favorite volcano is Crater Lake, Oregon, USA, but I still have more to see. I'd like to see the volcanoes of the Azores some day.

@Xiane1991 sorry for the confusion. Please read the title again... "not" the next Atlantis... and that's good news! The Philippines (my new home) are safe because they do "not" have the ingredients which crashed Atlantis (if it existed).

@Biktuh, I never said it was real. I said there is evidence that it might have been real. Big difference. Scientific evidence shows that sea level dropped by 2 meters about 9620 BC. Along with 2 other facts from 2 other scientific disciplines, we have proof of an Atlantis-like event at the same date.

The first is evidence of a massive tectonic collapse. Not proof of Atlantis, but Plato's legendary island is the likeliest suspect, given the matching date. Facts, not empty claims.

Yes, Filipinos are smart, hard-working and capable. New empire? Who knows!

But Philippines, I'm happy to say, will not be the next Atlantis. God bless and long live the Philippines! And there are Christians in most, if not all, Asian countries. There are also non-Christians in the Philippines.

@rcarlmartin77 -In that time you could walk the north sea and English channel,this is a time when it was still to cold to survive in northern Europe.

Around 12000 years ago is the time that the people of Atlantis enjoyed the ideal conditions of south western Europe or what we know as Spain today, but as you explained part of this area has since subsided destroying the evidence of this civilization

I believe evidence for this civilization can be found in western European culture.

@rcarlmartin77 I think you are on the right track and I believe that Atlantean names and words still exist,The names I am talking about developed with a culture that lived in a time of great change,and I believe this culture developed technologies to adapt to there changing world and exploit its resources at the same time.

The last ice age lowered the earths sea levels by around 185 meters and around fifteen thousand years ago sea levels started to rise-
