Tomas Alfredson's much anticipated adaptation of John le Carré's Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy premiered at BFI Southbank in September 2011. Following a preview screening, cast members Gary Oldman and John Hurt took part in a Q&A with Alfredson and screenwriter Peter Straughan, hosted by author Mark Salisbury. They discuss the challenges and opportunities of adapting the well loved work and its central character George Smiley and of collaborating with its author.
