  • Good luck for your CCIE test in 2012

  • When I do the CCIE It will be v 4.0 where they add troubleshooting section. My goal is to take it end of 2010, I am just finishing my CCNP and I want to lock myself in my lab (15 3640's and a few 3560's switches) and go to town. I hear BGP is a HUGE part of the test and people freak out when the neighbors don't form. BGP is so freaking slow to converge it's not even funny.

  • I know, You need focus work on troubleshooting part.

I wish I could help you, right now I 'm working in Japan.

  • Congratulations! I'm taking mine in December.

  • Good Luck for your CCIE exam!

  • I used to work down the street lol.... Which CCIE did you get?

  • @int666h one thing to confirm....i have heard that there are no vlsm qustions in exam anymore....is it? plz confirm I am to take the exam in few days....thanks....

  • @jesusdagr8

Well, as the matter of fact, i haven't tried to pass CCNA by now. Still i got smth to say. Most questions @CCNA quiz are about WAN technologies (Frame Relay, PPP, HDLC etc.) and EIGRP/OSPF. Subnetting and VLSM/CIDR are too simple to focus on them. It's not a bunch of knowledge, how to divide some /15 into smaller subnets:) It's really much more interesting how to normally aggreate those at the point of redistribution (IGP into BGP) :)

  • i will have CCIE in 2012

  • @72u7H well i can tell you BGP converges faster on juniper routers ;P ;)

  • @odsca yeah u r right...i got the same info. ccie written will suffice the extension.
