  • @QsoftStudios stupid char limit^^ you can check your ports at security dot symantec dot com. They should all show "stealthed", so the only thing someone could do with your IP address is ping it (if at all). If I am not mistaken they "hacked" the PSN by simply guessing/decrypting a password. Listening to network traffic only makes sense if you are in a local network with your target (I think you said something about that before).

  • @QsoftStudios a private user has a router which makes it nearly impossible to get access to a system. Web servers obviously need open ports to communicate with the rest of the world. If you target port 80 you can make a website unreachable. All ports that are not being used by a server are closed. The only thing you could do is use a security leak(exploit) of a running program or SQL-injection or Cross Site Scripting or bruteforcing (which you obviously can't do on a private computer)

  • @maxproxyDotTK >.> what do you mean by private? and im takeing courses online and also with offensive securety I think I know what im talking about... how do you think that people hack into big componeys from over seas? its a bit more complicated then say hacking into a computer on a local network but it can be done.

  • @QsoftStudios you cannot DDOS a private computer nor "hack it" with an IP-address. You should know that if you really go to MIT. Though I wonder how you are taking courses at the east and west coast at the same time.

Feel free to "hack" me 91.33.114.93 .

  • @xXjack4522Xx that makes it so much better.

  • stop arguing

  • @madjimms .....The ip address on the public databases that you can access are old ips of past customers. what I think you are thinking is the WHOIS info now thare are public databases with that information because that helps search engines find stuff relative to your area and yes that you can access anywhere unless your computer has WHOIS privacy protection.

  • @madjimms I went to Cisco Adadamy and now im taking courses at MIT and BCIT. Your wrong just accept it. If you entered random ips into a DoS toll yes some one would get hit thats because theres billions of ip addresses not because the isp databases are public. If they where public anyone could go into it and hack who ever they want. you can get into the databases but you would need to crack the server admin password.....

  • @QsoftStudios When anyone with a web browser can look up an ISP IP Database its as public as anything. Hell I could enter random IP numbers into a DoS attack tool & SOMEONE would get hit.

I think you went to the wrong internetz school.

  • @madjimms Thay are not public there the routing tables on the ISP database so that the ISP know ware to relay the data packets. If they where public that would present a HUGE security risk to all the computers listed in that database. You sir need to learn your internetz before you try and tell me that you cant do anything with an ip address.
