Cassell said in an interview he is playing in the league for 1 more season, and then will go into coaching the season after. Where he's playing next season though isn't known yet.

If Boston don't keep hold of Eddie House and Cassell decides to leave, next year could leave the door wide open for Gabe to move into some sort of permanent backup role behind Rondo.
