This is where street rodding began! Custom and cool do not begin to describe this professionally built 1928 Ford roadster. The front end is a 1938 Ford standard track nose with hand formed metal sides. The hood back to the stretched 1928 Ford cowl into a Dodge touring car tub finished with a 1925 Ford Model T rear with a hand formed roll pan and side with Bonneville louvers. Under the hood is a Chevy 350ci V8 with 202 double hump heads, original Edelbrock intake with 3 Rochester 2G's, Mallory dual point, aluminum Corvette valve covers, aluminum radiator and spent fuel comes out hand built Lake style headers. The power goes to the ground via a TH350 automatic transmission into a quick change rear end. Inside is new leather interior with matching carpet and marine grade tonneau cover with stainless steel snaps. The original cowl dash with classic gauges still remain. The front suspension is made up of an original 1934 Ford axle held in place with a pair of 1947 dogleg wishbones with a spring mounted off the bones to lower the car. The rear suspension is a narrowed Model T spring and modified split wishbones. Custom built .188 wall 2x4 frame that tapers in the front and has a kick in the rear all powder coated. Rolling stock consists of early Chysler artilleries with Ford center covers with 475's up front and 650's out back. Original E&J headlights modified to use a modern halogen bulb. This roadster is a must see as it is absolutely gorgeous with details beyond what is normally seen. • please, never delete this video. pure awesome.

  • Nice machine streetsideclassics! I like the sequence, from start up and like how we get a look over the instruments. The only thing... It's about revving the engines. I've noticed the pedal action is too abrupt. When the carb butterflies are dumped all of a sudden, the engine gasps for air, then loads up.

With this cammed engine, better to high idle at 2K for a moment, then REV it!

My suggestion is to depress the accelerator pedal quickly, but with a smoother action, DON'T tap it.

  • That is amazing! Awesome looking rod.
