This must have been very hard for you to tell. I am sorry that you have had this burden on you. I too, feel something like it, like I didn't get to tell my grandparents how much I loved them. I wish there was SOME way to turn time back :(

I know this was gard for you to tell. You will never know exactly what your Dad wanted to say and he will never know what you wanted to say, but your telling the story and learning to forgive yourself and move on would be what he would want you to do.

OMG, that is exactly what I fear will happen with my father! Your story made me cry because so often I choose not to go visit my dad when he wants to talk and yet I know any day may be his last and WHAT IF this time he does want to really talk about mistakes... if only we knew what we end up learning later!
