SFSU 49th Annual Film Finals Trailer

The San Francisco State University Cinema Department proudly presents its 49th Annual student Film Finals Festival showcasing the latest wave of innovative Bay Area filmmakers.
This special and long continuing event will begin May 15th at 6 p.m. with a food and drink reception adjacent to McKenna Theater (129) in Creative Arts Building; a 701 seat Theater with 35mm and digital screening facilities. Admission is $5.00 for students and seniors and $10.00 for the general public. The line up will include a dynamic, bold and cutting edge mix of short narratives, documentaries, experimental work, mixed media and animation.
Special guests include alumni, former film finals participant and seven-time Oscar nominee and winner Christopher Boyes for sound editing The Lord of the Rings. The Cinema Department was created in the 1960s, an era in which political activism and artistic expression reached new heights of experimentation. The Cinema Department continues in the tradition of pushing the boundaries of cinematic expression by granting young artists the inspiration and tools to move forward the mediums possibilities.
