  • my only conclusion is you never heard a good handwound bucker,

    they ARE muddy! period

  • @satjathamma nonsense, Ive been a luthier 33 years, it makes no difference whatsoever. muddY? i have one here, not at all muddy.

  • @blackbrooke actually they are not fine, they are muddy

  • @satjathamma Thats because only an idiot would do it with a lighter. the stock tokai pickups are fine.

  • Als43 Is that the chinese version ?

  • I hate blues.

  • @bogse I did it on my Tokai, the sound is getting more articular and little more bite to it, but I don't recommend it, cus it's a tough jobb, first of all, you need to desolder the cover from the baseplate, but thats not all, you must melt the wax to get the cover off, it's like glue! I used a cigarette lighter and I was really careful, but the bobbins still got a little deformed, lol :D is it worth it? no! you still get better sound with other pickups, the tokai stock pickups is ok but not good

  • Same guitar. What did the removing of covers from pickups do to the sound? Can it harm picups?

  • cool! how much did this cost?
