@sicknick091 I agree with all except Spartacus. I would say he is lucky that Crixus was resourceful enough to use his helmet to blind Theokles, but considering Spartacus survived against the 4 gladiators meant to execute him in the first fight without any gladiator training, he had skill and desire, not just luck

@lacacinodemon21 I believe Oenamaus was champion before Gannicus. That being said, I think Barca's early death in Blood and Sand, rather than in Vengeance, could be a reason that he was never a champion. Why make him a champion, only to kill him off? Maybe he historically wasn't ever champion, maybe Gannicus, Auctus, Oenomaus, Crixus, and Spartacus were all just better than he was.

See here's my problem with the whole "Champion" situation... why the hell wasn't Barca in the running? I mean, first it was Gannicus, Oenomaus (sp?), and Barca... then Auctus and Barca... then Crixus and Barca... Seriously, I'm wondering why he even stuck around if only to be second runner up. Maybe it's just me, but he could have a been a true contestant in the race to be champion.
