Fantastic winter flying around Voss, Norway in a HK36 Super Dimona

Cruising through the Norwegian mountains on a glorious late winter day. Took off from Bømoen, Voss and flew up to Myrkdalen skiresort where the very competent PIC showed me some downhill flying (5:14)!

Notice how just before we got to the road the pilot "waves" to a couple of cross country skiers on the left (2:51). After that he follows the highway rather closely before following the valley down to the skiresort. The Super Dimona is a motorized glider so nothing I can use with my PPL. It was still a fantastic aircraft and extremely stable I thought.

The Diamond DA20 I used for my initial training was developed from the HK36 so the cockpit environment did seem a bit familiar.

The landing was the smoothest I've ever experienced. My first reaction was to ask: "Have we landed yet?" Something for me to aim for!

Nice video! I miss the Ol Diamond HK flying days. I noticed that you didn't turn of the prop though and truly glide? At any rate your video made me miss flying even more. Fly for me!!!!!
