  • 2:24 it sounds and smells amazing, im most impressed. *maarp*

  • @mrbumblesquat I may regret asking this question but what does *maarp* mean?

  • I have Mallard and she runs very well but no steam ever seams to come out of chimney it just comes out of the valve above the cab. What shall I do?

  • @OOTrainsandModels I have 11 steamers now and the ones that run best emit very little steam and the ones that spew steam everyehere (just like the real thing) look vey realistic dont run very well!

It might be worth trying an air blast down the chimbey (aerosol "Dustoff" or a tyre inflator).

Steam is more noticeable when its cool (eg outside in winter) or when the background is dark.

    Good luck

  • Fantastic stuff, wish I had somewhere to run one.

  • @pawvaz Nowhere to run it? How about the garden?

If you look closely at the video you will see it is made from 4 sections bolted together and supported by adjustable screw thread jacks - ideal for setting up on a garden lawn.

If the way the modules bolt together is standardised then several modellers could join and make a giant layout.

  • @pawvaz I live in north america and over here we have barly any toy train shops. We probably have around 50 to 100 toy train shops total here that sounds like alot but it isn't.i have a hornby live steam locomotive set up in the backyard shed.We have no extra rooms in the house for a permanent layout.I got the hornby live steam set for $1,000 in american currency. You can try and make a portable layout that can be stored and put away when not in use.

  • Excellent video.I have 2 A4,s and are very dissapointed Hornby have not continued the range.Lets hope Hornby change their minds.Get out there & buy them.Had no problems in the garden at all. When mine dropped 3ft onto the floor(my fault)Hornby repaired it free of charge.Brilliant service from Hornby.Try one!you,ll love it.

  • I'm amazed at the power of these little critters.

  • @PalomboDylan well it has now reduced to 31 degrees celsius but the ants are a problem because they do walk across the track and the the locos CRUSH them

  • @cubeproduktion no it isn't because the ants can get inside the locomotives and ruin them. the tempuratures that you are saying are not good at all for the trains. If I were you I would just stick to an inside layout

  • @OOLiveSteam Is it safe to keep Normal Hornby Models in the garden with ants being like lions and sneaking in the grass with temperatures of 36-40 degrees celsius with the addition of dusty sand in the toxic waste air since it feels like that as of now in Dubai for me, sometimes it feels like your being cooked at 375 degrees celsius in an oven!

  • wow absolutely amazing I wish I could just go out and buy both of the models but I don't have the money and they are hard to come by in america

  • Oh, if only I won the lottery.
