This footage was filmed over the summer of 2011 in Jersey Channel Islands. The Doyle Pirates or "Doyle Picatés" as we call ourselves are a group of surfers from Jersey, Our home break is Le Port in St Ouens Bay.

The Pirates started when we got increasingly annoyed with the "cool" crowed surf scene in Jersey. Some of us used to work at the surf school, and on small crowded days we would borrow "Doyles" or Swell boards which are designed for absolute beginners . It started as a bit of fun, but when we all stopped working at the school we decided we needed our own. So 12 of us got together and ordered 1 each. Originally named "The Doyle Dozen" we set out to have as much fun as possible on these boards, Also.... to piss off a few other other people in the water was all part of it, We try to push some boundaries on what could be done on a Swell board, and are coming up with new tricks and styles regularly. Now about 4 years on there are over 25 of us, and it seems the numbers keep growing. We all appreciate that there is definitely a time and a place for serious competitive surfing, and we all surf short boards when the swell picks up, but we try and remind people that the reason we all began surfing in the first place, was to have fun... and to be out in the water with best friends.

I am a singer/songwriter/producer, and also one of the founders of The Doyle Pirates, I wanted to combine my 2 greatest loves in live, music and surfing, so myself and The Brothers De Gruchy put this music video together. If you like the tune, or the surfing then also check out:
