Chris Palermo wanted to try something different at A Day in the Dirt. So he put on a set of knobby tires on his Harley Sportster, and entered the Coup de Grace, a two-plus hour race over some of the roughest terrain you can imagine. Best of all, he finished! @allater3 I have pictures of my great grandfather and grandfather racing 1910-1920s Harleys on dirt oval tracks and my grandfather hill climbing on various rigid framed Harleys mostly modified WW2 WLAs LONG before Honda, Suzuki Yamaha Harley was riding in the dirt. And harley XR750s owned the tracks for a long time.
