I know, I was a once a strong Catholic and slowly I changed to atheism, it took me 3 years and I still said prayers before I went to sleep. what finelly changed me completely was when I read the Bible cover-to-cover.

Yup! Because that doesn't contradict anything in Leviticus, Kings, Deuteronomy, Revelations... etc...
"he's idea of love doesn't change like ours does"
Then why such a change between the Old and New Testament?

Ehh, i dont really like that fundamentalist christianity takes the name of religion. I am a thelemite and spirituality, philosophy and science make my life. If religion were suddenly gone I'd definatley have some sads. Not really if it were just christianity though.

If it suddenly dissapeared in todays soceity not much, go back 4-500 years there would have been panic and mayham.

Dude, instead being on youtube, we ought to hang out.

For example, take the Scandinavian countries. They turned towards secularism in a big way. And now look at them; Islam is rising up in their midst, the shadow of the Arabian prophet looms larger and larger over them. Check out Mark Steyn on this issue. No society can escape from God; He will always find some way of regaining its attention.

G.K. Chesterton said that when men cease to believe in God they will not believe in nothing, they will believe in anything. What would most likely be lost is democracy and freedom, bearing in mind that most atheist ideologies invariably produce totalitarian regimes. In a sense the question is academic because God will not allow a society to simply ignore Him. In one way or another He will take that society by the scruff of the neck and say: 'You don't get away from me that easily.'

4:12 >-> delivery?
Definitely agreed with this, Sol. I've asked the question my self of many things. "What would happen if this was lost?" "Does this really help?" etc. It helps understand things in greater detail. And it's rather fun =P

2)OT focussed on Israel as a nation who got judged when in rebellion against God and they were blessed when they listened and obeyed. They were to be the example for what God had set: Obey=blessing;disobey=discipli
ne. Deut 30:11. NT focusses more on how the church should live, probs they faced and what Christ did better than the OT. Heb 10:9-15, Luke 4:19. -
1)I had some ideas for this rebuttle, and i also spoke to my brother who's really good with this stuff. So here here we go! There aren't any big changes in God, his love didn't change. There's alot of things saying how Kind, merciful and patient God is. People got judged in the new testament aswell.

what would happen, you ask.
I tell you what would happen: everyone would need to find a new opiate.
