  • I learned bucks spank hop step fallap stamp stomp

  • @peteclairehaha Yes, I was taught Buck as Stomp spank hop step flap step. However I found the more I traveled around that the version I above (without the spank) is the most widely used and popular. Tap is like that, the same step is done differently depending on where you're at.

  • Rod,

What kind of time step are they doing in "Nunsense" in the song "Tackle That Temptation With a Time Step" ? I know she sings Step, Hop, shuffle, step, flap, ball change, but i can't figure out if that is a variation on a stomp hop time step or what! Your youtube videos are wonderful. Thanks, for helping all of us out! Meusiclver

  • Respond to this video... I haven't seen Nunsense in years. It sounds like a variation of a buck triple time step to me.

  • this is the very first step i ever learned before i found your lessons, and this is my quesiton, Sometimes (or most of the times) i do this, instead of doing a stomp i do a step, is that right, or i must correct that?

  • @DLZandorfRamash Congrats on learning to tap! I would recommend doing a stomp and not a step. Differentiating between steps and stomps is an important skill to learn so it's best to start off on the right foot so to say. Good luck.

  • I thought it was step,hop,step,fallap,ballchange. But I could be wrong,too

  • I was always taught it that way and have always seen others teach the buck as either starting with a stomp or stomp spank. Having said that, there is so much variation in tap terminology that I'm sure some teachers teach the buck as not starting with a stomp.

  • I didn't think a buck started out with a stomp?? I could be wrong.
