Chapter: "The Scipii-Spain Alliance"
Year Period: 178-177

In Egypt, large Pontic forces begin to appear. They are not allies of either Rome or Egypt, meaning they could be a big threat.

In Spain, Ceanatis of Briton takes his 76 men into battle against 76 men of Spain. Aulus of Scipii has 147 men to reinforce the Spanish.

The Spanish face the Britons in battle, as the Romans march into the battlefield slowly. The Spanish begin to route as the British turn their attentions to the greater in size Roman force. The infantry of Briton fight the infantry of Briton, and fair relatively evenly against the opposition. Hammer and anvil charges soften the Britons and they eventually rout. Eventually, it is a clear victory, with the Spanish losing 31 men, and the Romans losing 16. The Britons flee with just 20.

The Captain Ceanatis who made the attack on Spain was eventually assainated by the Scipio assasin, Titus Papirius.

The Roman Spy near Siwa see's that the Pontics have taken two of the Egyptian provinces bordering Scipii. This means the Egyptians must be surviving at Thebes. The Romans stay put, for now. Siwa trains a Diplomat to seek peace with the Pontics.

Armies of Pontus move south, most likely to destroy the Egyptians once and for all.

Captain Decimus with the troops from Palma are attacked on a bridge by Britannia. The Romans retreat, but are pursued. They must turn and fight.

Decimus marches his men forward, and the Britons make the movements that will dictate the battle. Archers fire at the Britons before skirmishing behind the infantry line. The Roman cavalry then retreats stalling the Britons whilst the legionaries fire their pila at the enemy. Eventually they go into melee combat. The Britons manage to rout one unit of cavalry whilst their army turns and flees. Eventually, the Romans win the battle, killing 175 Brits, losing a respectful 75.
