So many people think Twitter is just for telling friends that you're "on the toilet" or "eating some soup", but if you think that then you're missing out in a massive way. Twitter can be used for so many amazing things as this talk shows, and the more people that "get it", the faster and bigger their growth will be. I think Twitter should change the "what are you doing" box/question to something with a broader meaning! I ignored Twitter for a year until I understood its uses... now I love it!
Twitter is only what you make it. If you think its just for people who like to brag, try following useful tweeters like your university or local events manager. That's where twitter can become worthwhile. And why get news from twitter instead of a news paper website? Because twitter is real-time. It takes time to produce quality professional media, but don't you want to know what's happening now?? Thats the beauty of web 2.0.
I couldn't care less about somebody dropping their phone in the W.C. But relying it on "Important Events Unfolding" can cause hysteria and confusion when the message is miss read. It'll die like webcrawler & geocities. "-I've just yawned " trev_goodchild 10:37am 11/06/09.

try plurk. i think its cooler because you dont only brag about your unexceptional lie but you can connect and share ideas and stories with your friends. try plurk.
