Rolling in the Deep - Hoop on Ice

13 year old Chloe Lewis skates a FS4 rhythmic hoop routine to Haley Reinhart's version of Adele's "Rolling in the Deep" at the Toyota Center's Spring Fling on April 30, 2011. Chloe choreographed her first ever Hoop routine in her living room the night before the competition at 10 pm. Enjoy! :)

i feel like there's too many moments of her just awkawrdly holding the hoop while skating and not sure what to do. I think some more transitions would definitely pull this performance to another level!

@chlosepher this may be true, but you need to understand how this type of routine is created. You aren't allowed to bring a hoop onto a public or freestyle session, so there is no such thing as a practice run. You have to map out a routine in your head and perform it live - tough to get it right the first time... In addition, the judges were on one side of the rink, the audience on the other and then the video camera at the end.

@cadbleu There are some rinks that allow that kind of thing, perhaps you could search your area? I think she did wonderfully, I know that my rink allows that kind of thing, so I thought the suggestion might help :)

@cadbleu Have you tried early morning skates? That's when I practice my routines with props, because there's no one on the ice, so it doesn't matter if I have props.
