@nugor1 the helmet, just like any other clothing/armor, gives enchants and gives a boost of extra strength, ect. taking the helmet off will take away all of its special stats. its better to have it on, but a toggle feature would be great.

@n3croangel No appearance is morerather a roleplay element. Rarely do pvp and pve'ers care what their char looks like. If he is going to roleplay, he can take his helmet off.
