Black headed caique talking

Kiwi my black headed caique talking up a storm. He is saying "hi Kiwi!" "Hello Kiwi!" and "kiwi! Kiwi!" with the occasional "hello!"

How old is your caique? Because I have two and they just turned a year old and they dont exactly say words yet, but I just wanted to know how old yours was when it started to say actual words.

I have found out since posting this vid that Kiwi is a she :) But she started saying "Hi Kiwi" at around 11 months of age, I had gotten her at 8 months old so she only took 3 months to learn that! But she has never said any other words! LOL

Thanks! :) He's only been saying all this for about a month. So I'm guessing his words might get a bit clearer. But maybe they won't..caique's aren't known for their speach abilities..lol. I just think he's too cute! Apparently he does too! heh

I just want to say, everyone watching who has a caique should be aware of how special a love they have and should do everything in their power to ensure that their caique lives a good life. Mine died prematurely from unknown causes a few years ago and I haven't gotten over it. Please, understand what you have before you lose it.

My parents have one named Manny. He says a lot of things, you have to really listen to understand his sentences. But when he says one or two words at a time he is very understandable. He is around 10. And he too is very evil. When he bites (and trust me it hurts) he just laughs and laughs.

my bird (Pepper) says "Pepper good boy" after lunging at someone. Or he just laughs. He's evil
