Ok people, Fluttershy being almost useless? I don't think so. What about taming manticores? Or making full grown dragons cry? I could see her physical strength being somewhat lower (she's not used to handling more than a bunny or two...), but why could'nt she have abilitys that lower enemy stats or charm them into loving her (i.e. not attacking/getting confused). She could also sing them to sleep, cause paralisis by giving baddies 'the stare', or cause extra critical hits in tight spots.

Are there different attack animations? The buck is gonna get old, fast. Maybe not on the Apple family, but you should let people pick their pony's type in character creation, Pegasus ponies attack with gusts of wind, lightning from stormclouds, Unicorns cast magic, and are mages, Earth ponies have higher damage, and are more tanky. I'm not sure if you would be able to implement this, or even if you're already implementing it.

@mgsfan002 I'm wondering if Fluttershy might be like the dancer/bard, not a good fighter but can cast buffs on allies without magic. They generally have low health as well. She could use song birds or her singing voice to give her friends courage or distract them from their weariness/pain. Other than that, I'm not sure what type of class her low HP/low damage would hint as to what she is.

speed only, her being able to BREAK THE FRIGGIN SOUND BARRIER. She probably won't be dealing much damage, but be hella lot faster than her enemies, and getting the first hit on anything. For Fluttershy, I have absolutely no idea. I don't know if she's like Rena from Higurashi, being sweet and basically overall adorable, yet can completely hand your ass to you on a silver platter or what. Please, developers, don't make her useless T_T

But, for now, I'm going to guess that abilities aren't character specific. Right now, I'm guessing that Twilight will be the main magic fighter, using offensive magic to deal damage, and Rarity will be a defensive mage, having buffs/debuffs and healing magic. Applejack will most likely be solely strength based, her physical attack being her only way to deal damage, while Pinkie might be more of a balanced character, being faster than Applejack, but dealing less damage. Ok. From what I've learned through watching the show, reading fanfictions, and guessing, the stats and abilities that the Mane 6 will learn is based whether they are a unicorn, pegasus, or earth pony. Obviously, unicorns will be magic based, earth ponies will be strength based, and pegasi will be speed based. So, Fluttershy cannot be a white mage, or any type of magic based fighter, because she is a pegasus. I don't know whether there are character-specific abilites, or abilities will be shared.
