ADELE
C3-F5
VOICE TYPE - MEZZO

This is Adele entire live vocal range from her 19 & Eras. A British SingeSongwriter who's voice is so emotive and she has true control over her it, with perfect phrasing and innotation to portray the mean of her lyrics.

In just 4 short years Adele has had great success worldwide and has some recordbreaking achievments. With 21 being the biggest selling album in its first week, whilst holding the number 1 positions for 16 weeks in the UK. She is also the first artist (since the Beatles) to hold 2 TOP 5 SINGLES & 2 TOP CHARTED ALBUMS SIMULTANEAOUSLY!

  • @Dam112 In Classical music,you are correct.

In pop choral or choir music it is.

  • she sounds airy and strained below f5. DEFINITELY a contralto. a mezzo is vanessa amorosi (a high mezzo though) or beyoncé. sopranos are voices like kate bush.

last part of your video lacked head voice. that was pure falsetto.

  • @JMQDutary Beyonce has hit resonant, projected, full B2 with ease and freedm which Adele hasnt even shown on a C#3... so yes Bey has a stronger lower register I didnt say that comment in terms of having a wider lower register so do not assume i did.

I am going to stop replying to you now, so n need fr you t ''try and get the last word'' or ''to patronise''..

Adeles lower register is not that strong - her belts are BRIGHT full round - her headvoice bright on those F5s = mezzo

  • Thanks for the vid. What's the song at 1:10?

  • @JMQDutary Please dont patronise me and refer to be as boy ok

Leona - soprano JHud - soprano JessiJ - high mezzo, could be soprano, her twangy tone is misleading but her tessitura is quite high

Adele - does NOT possess a dark manly tone, her low notes are resonant but not as strong as a contraltos, and just because she hasnt belted above D5 doesnt emply she cant when her B4-D5 are bright rich supported healthy and that of any other mezzo. She has been compared to Amy stylistically.

  • @JMQDutary Source: Someone Like you (Comfortable low voice F3), Set fire to the rain (Switch to head voice at G#4) Don't you remember (Highest belt, C#5) all of those are in her best "texture" of the voice. She will, however, sounds better in a lower sense rather than in a higher sense. You can clearly see that in "He won't go" where she sounds passionate and beautifuly dark. The song has C3 as the lowest note. "Someone like you" has an E5 as the highest note and u can clearly hear the quality..

  • @Dam112 Adele is not a mezzoprano boy! Remember she is only around 23 and her voice is far mature! She is been compared to Amy which was CLEARLY a contralto (Am I wrong?) Adele show the respective normal sights of a contralto voice: Dark and smoky timbre, powerful lows and lack of highs. Even her Range (even though is not a main factor to say if she is or not) LIES in the contralto (Chest: C3-Roughly E5). Tessitura? Her tessitura lies in F3 to C#5... Contralto. Switch to head: A4.

  • @Dam112 IF Jessie it's a soprano, which I highly doubt, the Jennifer hudson surely will as well, and she has been categorized as a mezzo. As u said it ur self "Range is only a small factor is deciding vocal type..." Leona might be a soprano.. a darker type. But Adele is definetly NOT mezzo... I'm very sure of it.

  • @Dam112 The mix voice of a mezzo soprano starts roughly at B4-C5. That's where the voice would ussually change into mix..

  • @JMQDutary wheres the proof they catergorized her a true contralto. Her tessitura is in the mezzo range for majrity of her work... she has a bright rich timbre not dark or at all manly (there it is still a clear feminine voice) Jessie J is actually far more soprano than mezzo, Leona lewis is a true soprano as is Jennifer.. beyonce is the ONLY mezzo YOU JUST mentioned. and she has a superior lower register to Adele. ''catch the difference''?....
