Felicia Visits Douglas Carson

Douglas is reading the scrapbook of Christy's career when he gets a surprise visitor: Felicia. Felicia is actually there to see Christy and, she assures Douglas, she's carrying a white flag. Douglas tells Felicia that Christy isn't there. Felicia says she would have called first, but she was afraid she'd get cold feet if she did. Felicia and Douglas talk about Christy and what happened at TOPS. Felicia thinks she got a little carried away with her own enthusiasm about Cass and Frankie's wedding and her own visions for that, and it upset Christy, who had her own ideas that were nothing at all like Felicia's and, Felicia believes, are a lot like Christy and Douglas's wedding. Felicia wishes that Christy would have somehow defended herself, telling Felicia to shut up or something, but instead Christy was very hurt and overwhelmed and left TOPS in tears, which Felicia feels terrible about. Douglas tells Felicia that Christy is very emotional but she bounces back quickly and he's sure the whole incident is forgotten. Felicia isn't sure about that because Christy hasn't called Frankie at all. Douglas says that Christy has been very excited about Cass and Frankie's wedding and she's probably embarrassed that she overreacted. Felicia says that she, Cass and Frankie were surprised at Christy's behavior. Douglas says they all have their moments, and Felicia agrees. Douglas invites Felicia to stay until Christy gets home. Felicia doesn't want to interrupt Douglas's reading, but Douglas tells her he'd love the company, and it will give him the chance to learn all about Felicia's work. Felicia doesn't think Douglas has time to read romance novels, but Douglas tells her that on occasion, he has read them. Romance has inspired some of the world's greatest literature.
