  • This is a parade of 1960 Ford vehicles - multiple Fords, a Falcon, a Mercury.

  • @hebneh LOL another car buff. That is one thing I love about these old shows is the cars.. early product placement. I wonder if Ford sponsered this show in any way

  • @mytvmemories Every visible car in this entire episode (that I could see) was a Ford product except for a Renault Dauphine - and that makes me suspect that Renaults were imported and/or serviced by Ford at the time. I didn't check in the final credits to see if Ford was listed there, which was the usual arrangement then.

  • @hebneh no Renault had their network of dealers starting around 1958 or so.. The only thing Ford imported was the English Ford. My uncle had a Cortina. What a piece of crap. Anyway I missed the Renault. Did you see any Edsels?

  • great show doug was great so was cabot i am a car guy

  • I was 4 years old when this show aired, but i rememebr it. I used to watch it for the swirly glop during the opening credits. Then I would fall asleep and my parents would wake me up to see the end credits. (I can't really remember if they swirled too. Maybe it was the cues between commercials I'm remembering.) It's very comforting to know things like this have been preserved. Someday I need to actually see what the show was about.

  • @mytvmemories You can see the Renault more than once, but in this segment it's visible at 1:53 at the far left, parked, partly obscured by the stopped '60 Ford taxi that the bad guy is getting into. Good point about the Edsels - I didn't see any, so I suspect that this was shot after the early death of the Edsel at the start of the 1960 model year in late '59. Why promote a dead car?

  • Young Doug Mc Clure I was so in love with him When i was six years old .even more so in the Virginian

  • Too bad this show only lasted for two yrs. 60-62
