The Dalai Lama on European Tour

The Dalai Lama met with the Danish prime minister and foreign minister in Copenhagen during his visit to Denmark. He traveled here to hold a seminar on Buddhist teachings. But his visit sparked protests from the Chinese communist regime saying that the meeting "severely harmed China's essential interests and relations between China and Denmark." The Nobel Peace Prize winner also met with the press answering questions ranging from what is happiness, to the situation in Tibet, and freedom of speech. [Dalai Lama, Tibetan Spiritual Leader]: "China great potential caring constructive role in this humanity on this planet. I think in spite this potential I think that their system they close society and too much censorship. I think this is very very unfortunate. Now like your media, I think can make some contribution for that. Also I think they, the Chinese who stay in free country, I think you have very important role to bring information about reality. The Chinese people must know the reality, that's very important in order to carry some effective constructive rule on this planet. For that reason the government site must be transparent and free information, very essential  in order to judge by people. People must be informed in all aspects, so therefore many Chinese people consider me a demon because of governments propaganda." Later this week, the Dalai Lama will travel to France where he will receive an honorary citizen award. When the Dalai Lama met with French president Nicolas Sarkozy, the Chinese regime withdrew from a European Union summit held in Lyon, France. NTD, Copenhagen, Denmark.
