LIVONIA, MI— The Mike Cox 2010 campaign today unveiled its latest statewide television commercial, titled "Marine."
The advertisement, debuting across Michigan today on broadcast and cable television, highlights Mike Cox's service as a Marine, a homicide prosecutor and Michigan's Attorney General.
"At 18 he enlisted in the Marines," the ad opens. "He's never backed down from a fight. Mike Cox became a prosecutor and Michigan Attorney General.
"Now he's on the front lines of a new fight. A conservative reformer with a plan, Mike Cox will stop reckless spending, say no to new taxes, clean up Granholm's mess and put Michigan back to work."
Cox is the only candidate willing to discuss real solutions to the real problems facing Michigan—out-of-control spending and taxes—and to lay out $4 billion in tough, specific state government spending cuts and $2 billion in tax cuts he will make as governor. "Mike Cox is fighting to cut government spending so families and job makers can keep more of their own money, invest in Michigan's economy and put this state back to work," said Mike Cox 2010 Campaign Spokesman Nick De Leeuw. "Mike Cox has been fighting for Michigan families his entire life, as a Marine, a homicide prosecutor and as Attorney General. Mike Cox is the only candidate tough enough to fix Michigan.."
